Former supermodel Jerry Hall, and her fiancé media tycoon Rupert Murdoch, are set to tie the knot on a date which will be specified by the couple. She was not wearing diamond engagement rings in Melbourne for the Golden Globes on Sunday night, but wedding bells are soon to happen.
The couple announced their betrothal, with a tiny note appearing on the Murdoch-owned newspaper The Times just hours after they marched down the red carpet in Los Angeles.
According to the notice, ‘Miss Jerry Hall’ and Murdoch, with their 10 children between them, are very happy to be engaged.
“Mr. Rupert Murdoch, father of Chloe, Grace, James, Lachlan, Elisabeth, and Prudence Murdoch; and Ms. Jerry Hall, mother of Gabriel, Georgia, James and Elizabeth Jagger; are happy to inform about their betrothal.”It’s now time to display diamond engagement rings in Melbourne for the new couple.
A family spokesperson told The Times: “They have loved each other for the past few months, are quite excited to get married, and start a future together.”
The couple enjoyed a four-month whirlwind courtship, and followed Murdoch’s divorce to his third wife Wendi Deng in 2013. Hall was previously in a relationship with Rolling Stones Mick Jagger, with whom she begot four kids. Their relationship was null and voidafter splitting up in 1999, which meant this is Hall’s first marriage to Murdoch.
The couple’s relationship was first rumoured last September, along with London’s society circles. A month later, they decided to publicly unveil their status, appearing at the Rugby World Cup finals, openly embracing and kissing each other during the bout. Check out if the fiancée is wearing diamond engagement rings in Melbourne as proof of their relationship.
Hall joined Murdoch to the Golden Globes on Sunday night, holding hands all throughout the evening. They sat along with Golden Globe winner Matt Damon and fellow actor Morgan Freeman.
Murdoch and Hall came to know each other through Murdoch’s Australian-based relatives and during Hall’s performance in The Graduate in Melbourne a year ago.
Hall is planning to go to Sydney at the end of 2016 for The Graduate’sfinal season.
No definite schedule for the wedding yet. Soit remains indefinite whether she will be the newest member of the Murdoch clan.
